82 new cases in the province

No new COVID-19 cases in Medicine Hat, active cases down to six

Medicine Hat is down to just six active cases of COVID-19 while the province confirmed 82 new cases in the past 24 hours.

The province now has confirmed 8,994 total cases throughout the pandemic. There are currently 704 active cases, an increase of three, and 8,127 Albertans have recovered, an increase of 79.

There are currently 64 Albertans in hospital, seven of which are in ICU. The death toll remains at 163.

The province completed 6,374 tests in the past 24 hours.

Medicine Hat’s total number of cases remains at 51 — 44 considered recovered, six active and there has been one death.

The South Zone has a total of 1,447 cases —1,354 recovered and 81 active. There are four people in the zone in hospital, one of which is in ICU, and there have been 12 deaths.

Cypress County is down to just one active case of the 30 total cases recorded there.

The County of Forty Mile has three active cases and five recovered.

The MD of Taber has 15 total cases, six active and nine recovered.

Special Areas No. 2 has two active cases.

There have been 1,121 total cases in Brooks —1,109 are recovered and three active. Brooks has recorded nine deaths. The County of Newell is showing two active cases, one of which is new, and 20 recovered.

The County of Warner remains at 44 total cases, and has seen a huge movement from active to recovered cases. In the past 24 hours 33 cases have been moved to the recovered category. There are now three active cases and 40 recovered. There has been one death in the county.

The City of Lethbridge has a total of 65 cases. Of those, 22 are listed as active and 43 recovered. Lethbridge County has 14 cases, seven active cases and seven recovered.
