Men’s Wellness Boxes to aid self-care and mental health

MEDICINE HAT, AB – Stella Sehn, founder and co-owner of Sweet Pure Honey, says it’s been a difficult few years for her and her family farming and beekeeping. They also dealt with job loss when her husband lost his job as a safety supervisor in the oilpatch.

The uncertainty of the COVID-19 pandemic only added to the tough times for Sehn’s family and countless others.

And so Sehn decided to offer the care packages her husband enjoys so much to others who may be struggling.

“I’ve been getting a lot of messages from people asking me to put care packages together so I thought why not take it one step further and put all the ingredients in this box that help my man and the men in my life feel better,” Sehn explained.

The Men’s Wellness Box is full of practical everyday things that men can use to improve their wellness and take care of their own mind and body.

Beeswax votive candles, a beeswax lip balm and a stain remover stick are a few of the items in the boxes, which sell for $40.

“The whole box is meant to spend more time taking care of your self and your mental health and I think sometimes as women we get a lot of spa days, we have girlfriends to encourage us but sometimes men don’t reach out and connect and aren’t encouraged to take care of their self and their mental health,” Sehn said.

Boxes are available at sweetpurehoney.ca all the money goes to support her husband Sheldon’s beehives at Sweet Pure Honey. They cost $40 and can be shipped to anyone you like or delivered in Medicine Hat.
