COVID-19 Update: Two new active cases in Medicine Hat

EDMONTON, AB- The number of active cases of COVID-19 in the city of Medicine Hat has risen by two.

There are now four active cases of COVID-19 in the city and 36 recoveries.

On Saturday, South Country Village confirmed one resident in long-term care tested positive for COVID-19.

In the South Zone, there 31 active cases in total and 1261 recoveries.

The City of Brooks has three active cases and 1107 recoveries. The number of deaths remain at nine.

The City Of Lethbridge has 10 active cases and 33 recoveries. Lethbridge County, and the County of Warner each have one active case.

Cardston County has eight active cases, and 30 recoveries. One person has died of COVID-19 in the region.

The Municipal District of Taber has four active cases and two recoveries.

Province wide, there 69 new cases confirmed today.

In total there are 520 active cases in the province, the majority of which are in the Calgary Zone, with 221 active cases and the Edmonton Zone with 228.

Of the active cases, forty-two people are hospitalized with the virus and eight are in ICU.
