Basics for Babies will collect for MH Food Bank

MEDICINE HAT, AB – Basics for Babies is back on Thursday.

CHAT 94.5 will broadcast from the parking lot of Mr. Lube, where they will be collecting donations of diapers and cash for the Medicine Hat & District Food Bank.

As well, $10 from every oil change during the day will go to Basic for Babies.

Mr. Lube owner Chris Hellman got involved after learning how many young families in the city use the food bank.

“Baby items aren’t something that’s often thought about or donated,” said. “The food bank gives out over 50,000 diapers per year to young families in need.”

Mr. Lube will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and CHAT 94.5 will be on location from 5:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Both will be accepting donations.

Hellman knows it’s been a tough year for people but that anything people can give is a big help for the community.

If you can’t make it to Mr. Lube on June 25, donations can be made via etransfer to donate@mhfoodbank.com.

All donations are eligible for a tax receipt.
