Man arrested for reported break and enter

MEDICINE HAT AB,- The MHPS responded to a report of an early morning break and enter at a residence in the 100 block of Murray Place NE.

The report came in at approximately 7:30 a.m, Sunday, June 21.

Prior to police arrival, the MHPS say the suspect fled the scene. Officers set up a containment of the area and arrested the suspect, just blocks away from the residence.

A 29-year-old man from Medicine Hat was taken into custody for break and enter.

The suspect is being held in custody and is currently awaiting a bail hearing, according to the MHPS.

“The MHPS Victim’s Assistance Unit was able to assist patrol officers with providing support to the victims at the scene. The identity of the male suspect will not be released at this time as charges have not been formally processed,” the MHPS said in a statement.
