COVID-19 update: Province confirms 31 new cases

EDMONTON AB- The Province of Alberta confirmed 31 new cases of COVID-19 today, (Sunday, June 21).

There are 534 active cases in the province, the bulk of which are in the Calgary Zone with 235 active cases and the Edmonton Zone with 238 active cases.

In the South Zone, there are 20 active cases remaining and 1,258 recoveries. One person is hospitalized with the virus, according to the province.

Community specific data has not been updated since June 20.

According to the June 20 update there are no active cases of COVID-19 remaining in Medicine Hat. All 36 cases have recovered.

In Brooks there are two active cases, according to the province, and 1008 recoveries. The number of deaths remain at nine.
