Canadian international Lindsay Agnew signs with North Carolina Courage
CARY, N.C. — Canadian international Lindsay Agnew, who played for Sydney FC in Australia’s W-League Grand Final in March, has signed a one-year contract plus an option with the defending NWSL champion North Carolina Courage.
Taken 19th overall by the Washington Spirit in the 2017 NWSL college draft, the former Ohio State star was traded to Houston in January 2018. She was waived in January 2020, paving the way to move Down Under.
A former forward, the 25-year-old Agnew played fullback/wingback for Sydney.
A free agent after the Australian season ended, she attended the North Carolina training camp as a free agent. Agnew joins fellow Canadian Stephanie Labbe at the Courage.
