Police to watch city schools more closely after traffic complaints

MEDICINE HAT, AB – Hatters will see an increased police presence around three city schools due to traffic-related complaints from the community.

At their weekly intelligence meeting, Medicine Hat Police Service identified Crescent Heights High School, George Davison School and Dr. Roy Wilson Learning Centre as areas of concern. Gershaw Drive, Parkview Drive, 13th Avenue and Central Park will also get more attention from officers.

The Central Park area is also flagged as an area police will watch for speeders and suspected drug trafficking activity in and around the park near the playground area.

The downtown core is also being watched more closely.

Suspicious activity has also been noted around the 500 block of 21st Street NE and Cuyler Road.
