Kipling and Spencer streets to be closed for months

MEDICINE HAT, AB – Users of Kipling Street and Spencer Street will need to find a new route beginning June 17.

The road will be closed to through traffic from Kingsway Avenue to College Avenue as the city resumes work on its multi-year project to upgrade water and sewer mains in the area. A full road rehabilitation, including geometry improvements and intersection upgrades.

The work is expected to last until the fall and residents can follow the project on the city’s website. Area residents and businesses will have access to their properties throughout the work.

Drivers and pedestrians are asked to follow all detours and signage related to the work.

With the exception of emergency activities and scheduled short duration interruptions, full water and sewer services will remain during the project.
