David J. Carter to receive Honorary Applied Degree from MHC

MEDICINE HAT — A man of many talents will be this years recipient of an Honorary Applied Degree from the Medicine Hat College.

David J. Carter is an ordained priest, former MLA and Speaker of the Alberta Legislature.

Carter has also authored 18 books including histories of the flight training school and P.O.W. camp in Medicine Hat in the Second World War.

He’s also worked on restoration of St. Margaret’s Church and cemetary near Elkwater.

Carter will receive his honor at the convocation ceremony next June – as this years proceedings were postponed by COVID 19.
