Province seeks nominations for 2020 Minister’s Seniors Service Awards
On the heels of Seniors’ Week in Alberta, the province is looking to celebrate the outstanding people who have stepped up to help seniors during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Nominations are now open for the 2020 Minister’s Seniors Service Awards. Albertans have been doing what they can to ensure seniors have been getting the supports they need over the past few months.
“Now, more than ever, it is important to honour the outstanding individuals, businesses and non-profit organizations who are stepping up to support seniors,” Josephine Pon, minister of seniors and housing, said in a release. “I encourage Albertans to think about the people, companies and organizations they know who are doing this important work and nominate them for a Minister’s Seniors Service Award.”
Nominations can be made in the categories of individuals, businesses and non-profit organizations. The nominations will be assessed on volunteerism, philanthropy, innovation and outstanding service.
