Grocery store workers update how they’re doing during the pandemic

REDCLIFF, AB – Frontline workers have had a busy few months working during the heat of the pandemic.

Store Manager at Family Foods in Redcliff Sue MacInnis says it’s been different with the new protocols and public health rules.

But their main focus is to keep staff and customers safe.

She says their stock is starting to replenish.

And to get through the different days, MacInnis says their six staff members take time to laugh and have fun together while at work.

“They’re all front-liners, they put themselves first in order to have a job, serve the customers. I like the customer feel, I know I have health issues so it’s like I still have to do it, I can’t just sit back.

MacInnis adds baking supplies continue to be a top seller with a shortage of yeast and flour.

She says manufacturers are also making their top brands of items until they get caught up.
