Sewer and water work

Busy Crescent Heights intersection to be closed until mid-July

Jun 4, 2020 | 2:17 PM

MEDICINE HAT, AB – The intersection at 12th Street and Fourth Avenue NE will be closed on Monday as the city continues work to replace aging water and sewer infrastructure in the area.

The work has been contained to mainly residential areas since the project began in May but will now move to the high-volume intersection. It’s expected the intersection will be closed until the middle of July, barring unforeseen delays.

Detours and temporary road accommodations will be in place to maintain access to businesses near the intersection. Motorists are asked to obey all signage.

The city reminds people to allow crews space to work safely, including adhering to physical distancing standards of two metres.
