Brooks RCMP investigating single vehicle rollover

BROOKS, AB- A 19-year-old man from Duchess AB. has been transported to hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries after a car crash on Highway 1 near the 15 Ave W “on ramp” north of the city.

Police and first responders were called to the crash on May 22 at approximately 11:50 p.m where they found the driver of a 2009 white pick up truck laying in the median with multiple injuries.

In a news release, police say the investigation so far has revealed the driver failed to negotiate a slight curve and rolled several times ending in the centre median of the westbound and eastbound lanes.

No other people or vehicles were involved in the collision.

Speed and alcohol are believed to be factors, according to the RCMP.
