COVID-19 update: One new case in Brooks, Medicine Hat cases remain unchanged

EDMONTON- The province of Alberta is reporting 72 new cases of COVID-19, bringing the total number of active cases to 1085.

In addition to the new cases, another person has died in the Calgary zone, according to the province.

In the entire South Zone, there are 1197 confirmed cases, which make up of 18 per cent of the province’s total number of cases.

The city of Brooks is reporting one new case . there are 83 active cases in the city and 995 recoveries. The number of deaths remain at seven. The County of Newell has 14 confirmed cases, three are active and 11 have recovered.

In Medicine Hat, active cases remain at five. The city has seen 35 confirmed cases of the virus– 30 of which have recovered. In bordering Cypress County there are 10 confirmed cases, three of active and seven are recovered.

The city of Lethbridge has seen 21 cases of the virus, five are active and 16 are recovered. Nearby Cardston County is reporting 15 cases, 10 are active and five have recovered.

COVID-19 recoveries keep rising .The province says out of 6587 cases, 5377 cases have recovered.
