Staff member at Masterpiece Southland Meadows tests positive for COVID-19

MEDICINE HAT — Residents at Masterpiece Southlands Meadows in Medicine Hat have been told that a staff member from the care side of the facility has tested positive for COVID 19.

Staff at the facility told each of the residents about the positive test, and said the individual had been sent home.

Alberta Health Services did report one new active case in Medicine Hat yesterday – the first in the city since last week – with Alberta Health confirming to CHAT News the case connected to Masterpiece was reported in the last 24-hours.

All residents and staff at the facility will now be eligible for COVID-19 testing.
