Family-friendly options limited but mini-golf course open

MEDICINE HAT, AB – With playgrounds, swimming pools, movie theatres and water parks all shuttered, there is at least one family-friendly entertainment option out there after Hooplas opened their mini-golf course Thursday.
Owner Amber Dewar says the facility has adopted a number of physical distancing and cleaning protocols to ensure a safe experience.
“A lot of people aren’t able to go do some of the activities they typically would and there are not a lot of recreational activities open in town,” said Dewar. “We are hoping to see a lot of people out, hoping to give them that opportunity to take a break for a little bit.”
