A thanks to moms everywhere: Twist & Flip Gymnastics hands out free flowers for Mother’s Day

REDCLIFF AB,- It’s a day to celebrate mothers and the countless sacrifices they make and a local gymnastic’s club is doing their part to say thank-you.

Outside Twist & Flip Gymnastics, buckets filled with tulips were ready for all moms deserving of a big thanks.

” Moms do so much and they are probably doing so much more you know around the house, with teaching and cleaning and everything so it’s nice to give back to the moms and the community itself.” said owner of Twist and Flip Gymnastics, Randy McMullen.

To comply with social distancing regulations , cars lined up and picked up their flowers while remaining in their vehicle.

With gymnastics canceled for the rest of the season, the event also allowed students to connect back with their teacher.

“It has been very difficult for the kids because they are all such social butterflies. A lot of them have let us know that they miss the gym,” McMullen said.

A green tarp with the words ‘ We miss you’ inside a spray painted heart was posted outside the gym’s building.

Once gymnastics classes resume, the gymnasts will have to get used to a new normal which will likely involve temperature checks, heightened sanitization, and social distancing protocols.

Roughly 120 packs of flowers were available for local mothers to collect as a thank-you for all their hard work and sacrifice.
