Homeowner home during break and enter, two charged

MEDICINE HAT, AB – Two people have been charged after a break and enter in Medicine Hat over the weekend.

Police responded to a report of a break and enter in progress in the 500 block of Ninth Street SW on the evening of April 19. The homeowner was home during the incident and called police after seeing one of the suspects attempting to enter the home through a window.

Upon arrival, police found two suspects, a 36-year-old male and a 21-year-old female. The pair were arrested and charged following an investigation.

The names of the suspects can’t be released until charges are sworn in provincial court.

Police are reminding residents that crimes in progress should be reported by calling 911.
