Electronics and knives taken, arrest quickly made

MEDICINE HAT, AB – An out-of-town visitor is facing charges after a break and enter downtown on Thursday.

The break and enter occurred at a business in the 400 block of Third Street SE. Several items were reported stolen, including electronic equipment and knives, with an estimated value of $1,500.

A 20-year-old man from Calgary has been charged with break and enter to a business, theft under $5,000, two counts of breach of probation and six counts of breach of recognizance.

The MHPS remains diligent in checking business and residential areas for property offenders during the Covid-19 pandemic.
