COVID-19: Sixty-nine new cases, one new death in Calgary

EDMONTON AB,- Speaking at an AHS warehouse holding PPE supplies, the premier of Alberta provided the latest COVID19 numbers in the province.

There are 69 new cases of COVID-19 confirmed over the last 24-hours bringing the provincial total to 1,569 cases .

In the City of Medicine Hat, there are 11 cases, seven of which are considered active and four recovered, according to data on the Province of Alberta website.

Forty-seven Albertans are hospitalized — a reduction of one since yesterday. Thirteen of the 47 remain in ICU.

Premier Kenney also confirmed one additional death Saturday in the Calgary zone. Yesterday the province announced seven deaths– the largest number of deaths in a single day so far in the province.

The province said 73,000 tests for COVID-19 have been completed thus far.

Of the confirmed cases , the province says 744 cases have recovered which is 48 per cent of confirmed cases.

There are 30 cases of COVID-19 in the South zone.
