Public help needed to identify Vauxhall armed bank robbery suspect

VAUXHALL, AB. – Taber RCMP need your help to identify an armed bank robber.

Around 12:30-pm on Wednesday (April 8), RCMP responded to the report of an armed robbery at a bank in the area of 2 avenue north and 4 street north in Vauxhall.

A disguised suspect entered the bank carrying what’s believed to be a rifle and demanded money from an employee. The suspect left with an undisclosed amount of mixed currency and fled in a vehicle parked nearby.

Bank surveillance captured images of the suspect who is believed to be approximately 5’6” in height.

At the time of this incident there were no customers in the bank and a small number of employees. No one was physically injured.

If you think you know the suspect, please do not approach as he is considered armed and dangerous.
