Feds relax wage subsidy eligibility requirements
The federal government has relaxed rules around the wage subsidy so that more businesses can qualify.
Announced last week, the Canada Emergency Wage Subsidy initially required a business show 30 per cent loss of revenue over March of the previous year. That number has been dropped to 15 per cent, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau announced this morning.
Businesses can also now use January and February to show a loss of revenue.
For charities, measures were relaxed so that they can choose to include or not include government subsidies to show a loss of revenues.
