Apr 3, 2020 | 6:36 PM

MEDICINE HAT AB- Another showcase of appreciation took place for the men and women fighting on the front lines of the COVID-19 pandemic today.

Donning masks and giving a wave, residents and staff of the Medicine Hat Retirement Villa stood outside their building to show their support.

The initiative was spearheaded by a retirement villa employee who was compelled to do something after hearing about the toll the virus is taking on front line workers.

Within the hour over 15 people stood in solidarity and centered in the middle was Ray Tone.

“Just the amount of doctors that are putting themselves in danger nowadays. It’s almost like we are in a war and they are kind of fighting this battle for us and it’s just to appreciate what they are doing,” he said, choking back tears.

The show of appreciation today was just one of many taking place In Medicine Hat this past week.
