MEDICINE HAT, AB – Alberta Health Services has put together some information about grocery delivery services for those who are in COVID-19 self-isolation or just want to avoid going out in public as best they can.

Here’s what was released on Monday.

Store Pick-up App – Instacart

Delivers groceries to your door, even from stores that don’t have delivery service.

Safeway: Groceries purchased in-store can be delivered to the customer’s residence by a local delivery service. Cost is $10.

Co-op: Phone the store before noon with name and phone number. Staff will call back when ready to process the order. The order is delivered the next morning, 7 days a week. Customers must make a minimum purchase of $35. Delivery fee of $10.

Sobey’s: Orders can be phoned in Monday – Friday before 11 a.m. for next day delivery. Friday’s orders will be sent out on Monday. There is no delivery on weekends or holidays. The cost is $11 for four boxes, with prices increasing from there. Delivery Line Phone number is: 403-504-5732.

Superstore: Orders can be placed online using Click and Collect. There is a fee of $3-5 depending on your pick-up time. Individuals need to set up an account and then order online. Pay by credit, debit, cash or gift card. Individuals attend the PC Express pickup location during a selected time slot to collect the order. See www.realcanadiansuperstore.ca.

Save-on Foods: Orders can be placed online. Individuals can place their order to have pick-up at store or home delivery within the city of Medicine Hat. First order is free, with all following orders costing $4.95 with a minimum of a $40 order. Orders need to be placed before 10 a.m. for same day delivery. See www.saveonfoods.com.

Foodland IGA: Call or email with a list of needed items before 9 a.m. for same day delivery. Staff will collect the items and a delivery service drops groceries off. The cost of delivery is $6-10 depending on delivery service available and drop-off location. Payment can be made over the phone with credit card for the groceries and delivery.
