Third COVID-19 death in Alberta, no new cases in South Zone

EDMONTON, AB – A third patient has died of COVID-19 in Alberta, according to the latest data released by the provincial government Sunday evening.

A total of 40 new cases are being reported in the past 24 hours bringing the provincial total to 661 but no new infections are being reported in the Alberta Health Service’s South Zone. That total remains at 12 with five cases each in Medicine Hat and Lethbridge with the other two in the M.D. of Taber.

At total of 41 individuals are in hospital with 14 currently in intensive care.

Of those originally infected with COVID-19, 73 have been confirmed as recovered.
