DRUMHELLER, AB – A two-day lock down at the Drumheller Institute initiated after two inmates showed signs consistent with influenza is over.
The inmates were assessed and one tested for COVID-19 with a negative result, according to a Correctional Service of Canada (CSC) release on Sunday.
The CSC added there are no inmate cases of COVID-19 in their institutions.
However, to stem the spread, CSC is continuing to suspend visits, temporary absences, work release and transfers between prisons.
