Redcliff to waive utility bill penalties

MEDICINE HAT, AB — The Town of Redcliff is taking steps to alleviate some financial concerns residents or businesses may have during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Town Council has made a motion to waive penalties on the current utility bill and the next one. The town also says it will not disconnect or shut off water services to any customer.

The information was posted to the town’s Facebook page on Thursday.

The notice also states utility balances are not being waived and urges residents to pay what they can as early as they can.
