Legislature to reconvene March 31
MEDICINE HAT, AB – Alberta MLAs will be back in the legislature on March 31 for debate on legislation regarding the COVID-19 pandemic, supporting Albertans and the economic future of the province.
“These are unprecedented and challenging times for Albertans, but our government is here to guide our province through the COVID-19 pandemic with a steady hand,” says government house leader Jason Nixon. “We will be reconvening the legislature in order to make further changes to legislation that will ensure we are protecting our most vulnerable and creating the conditions for Alberta’s economy to rebound after the worst of the pandemic is over.”
Government will be working with the Opposition to ensure that MLAs remain healthy and adhere to the best practices outlined by the chief medical officer of health. The health and safety of members and all Albertans is our highest priority at this time, reads a release from the province.
