Tourism Medicine Hat introduces social distancing bingo

MEDICINE HAT, AB – Under the B … played a round of disc golf?

That’s right.

Tourism Medicine Hat has put a new spin on the old game of bingo, adapting it for these days of social distancing.

Abby Czibere, Stakeholder Engagement, Tourism Medicine Hat, says the idea is to give Hatters things to do and ways to support local businesses while still social distancing.

Went for a walk in Police Point Park, bought a gift card for your favourite local store and joined a virtual workout class are a few of the “spaces” on the boards. There are also three “washed your hands” free spaces and one “you choose” space.

“People have been like ‘This is amazing, this is so much fun.’ It’s just a little bit of a fun thing in this kind of not really great time.”
