MEDICINE HAT, AB – A new information line will help connect city residents to community resources during the COVID-19 pandemic.

“We want to be able to provide our community with current information about the resources and supports they need to stay healthy and well,” said Shona Dickie, superintendent of Community Support Services with the City of Medicine Hat. “The information line, in addition to our online resources, will allow people to access information using the tools they are most comfortable with.”

The phone line will be operated by city staff Monday to Friday from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. The number is 403-529-8106.

Last week the city launched a webpage with supports and resources available.

The city also wants to remind Hatters that health-related inquires should be directed to Alberta Health Services and anyone with health concerns or feels they are experiencing symptoms of COVID-19 should complete the online self-assessment.
