BREAKING – Medicine Hat flight information correction

MEDICINE HAT – New information is becoming available on a WestJet Medicine Hat flight from March 12, correcting previously released data. This comes as a second affected flight on the same airline is now being reported from March 15.

The latest information from the province is the flight reported on Thursday carrying an individual with a confirmed case of COVID-19 is flight WS 3016 on March 12 – a Calgary to Medicine Hat flight. Not what was intially stated.

The latest list of affected flights is now reporting WS 3016 on March 15 travelling from Calgary to Medicine Hat also had an individual with COVID-19.

The affected rows on the March 12 WS 3016 flight which should be taking extra precaution are rows 2 to 8. On the March 15 WS 3015 they are rows 8 to 14.

According to the province, passengers in the affected seats of these flights are considered close contacts and are at risk of exposure.

These individuals are recommended to self-isolate for 14 days and monitor for symptoms. Public health officials recommend individuals in affected seats self-isolate for 14 days.

Other passengers are not required to self-isolate but should self-monitor for 14 days after arrival in Canada.
