South Country Co-op taking precautions in response to COVID-19

Mar 18, 2020 | 12:55 PM

South Country Co-op says it is doing what it can to ensure community members will be able to get what they need as the COVID-19 situation expands.

The company is taking measures to maintain a safe environment, including refreshing general safety procedures and enhancing preventative sanitation and hygiene measures.

A statement from CEO Paul Haynes today notes a dedicated pandemic community is monitoring the situation hourly and the company is assessing and modifying “customer-facing services” in order to maintain a safe environment.

“Our grocery stores and pharmacies are critically important at this moment, and we’re doing everything we can to ensure they stay open and accessible to the public,” the statement reads. “We want to ensure anyone who visits a South Country Co-op location feels ‘at home here.'”
