Local dog’s artistic talent gaining following

His owner, Megan Bolen picks the colours and lets Rogan’s artistic talent do the rest.

“They’re abstract, you know they are dog art, but you know they are actually pretty cute,” laughed Bolen.

Rogan only began painting a few weeks ago after his owner’s friend saw a video of other dogs taking on the art form.

After only a few tries, Rogan’s owner quickly noticed his artistic flair and took Rogan’s works of art to Instagram where they have since become a hit.

“The response has been quite shocking people are really interested. We got people buying them from Florida, Massachusetts. People love the videos watching him paint. They are really getting a kick out of it. We get a lot of messages. It’s only been about two weeks that we’ve been on there and the response has been pretty huge,” Bolen said.

Each painting costs of a minimum of $30.00. But the artsy pooch won’t be pocketing the proceeds. Instead, to give back, every cent will be going towards animal rescue organizations here in Medicine Hat.
