MHC drops opener in womens volleyball championship

Medicine Hat falls in straight sets to open ACAC Womens Volleyball championships

MEDICINE HAT — A full house at the Medicine Hat College gym went home disappointed, as the Rattler women’s volleyball team dropped a 3 set match to top ranked Augustana Vikings.

It was the third match of the opening day of the 2020 Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference championships.

Earlier the King’s University Eagles took a straight set victory over Ambrose College, and Briercrest College swept NAIT 3-0.

The final match of the night was also a sweep, as Red Deer College took 3 straight games from Lakeland College.

NAIT plays Ambrose at 1 this afternoon while Medicine Hat and Lakeland play at 3 pm.

The semi finals begin at 6 when the King’s University plays Briercrest followed at 8 o’clock by Red Deer playing Augustana.

All matches are at the Medicine Hat College.
