Police respond to Southeast Hill collision

MEDICINE HAT – Medicine Hat Police have closed a section of road on the southeast hill due to a motor vehicle collision.

A downtown bound vehicle traveling on Third Street apparently lost control, crossed into the opposite lane of traffic and struck an unoccupied home on the corner of Third Avenue.

A fire hydrant was also struck and quickly replaced.

Third Street Southeast between Division Avenue and Fourth Street Southeast was closed in both directions, but reopened by 8:30 p.m.

Two people in the vehicle were taken to hospital as a precaution.
