Manitoba man charged following fatal multi- vehicle collision in summer 2019

OYEN, AB — A 22-year-old man from Manitoba is facing charges following a multi-vehicle collision on Highway 9 last August that killed three people.

On Thursday, RCMP announced Daniel Zacharias Wollmann of Mitchell, Manitoba has been charged with three counts of dangerous operation causing death and 14 counts of dangerous operation causing bodily harm.

The collision occurred on August 20 on Highway 9 near Range Road 73 between Cereal and Chinook. The collision involved 11 vehicles, including three semi tractor trailers.

Wollmann will appear in Hanna Provincial Court on April 22.
