Man, two children die in crash south of Kamloops
KAMLOOPS — A man and two children are dead after a crash near Kamloops Sunday night.
Kamloops RCMP spokesperson Cpl. Jodi Shelkie says Kamloops Rural RCMP and traffic investigators attended a crash on Highway 5A near Stump Lake at 5:45 p.m., Feb. 23.
Initial findings suggest a northbound car failed to negotiate a curve, went over a concrete barrier and down a steep embankment.
“The driver of the vehicle, a 47-year-old male, was deceased at the scene,” Shelkie says. “Two child passengers, ages eight and six, were rushed from the crash scene to hospital by BC Emergency Health Services, where they later succumbed to their injuries.”
