Eagle Butte student signed by Rattlers for fall season

MEDICINE HAT, AB — The Medicine Hat College Rattlers women’s volleyball team has signed a local prospect to play this fall.

The team announced on social media Wednesday morning they had signed Montana Wright to play for the team in the 2020-21 season.

Wright, who stands 6’1”, is a member of the Eagle Butte High School Talons, where she plays middle blocker. She is currently playing for the Medicine Hat Volleyball Club.

“She brings height and composure to the middle blocker position and we can’t wait to see her in the gym in August and to see her continue to grow in the sport,” a statement from the Rattlers reads.

The Rattlers return to action on Friday, as they travel to Red Deer to take on the Queens. The game begins at 6 p.m.
