MEDICINE HAT, AB — Police are on the hunt for an armed man believed to be a suspect in several robberies.
Officers tracked him to a home on Porter Place in the Southview area around 2:30 this afternoon. Police shut down some streets and asked the public to avoid the area. Nearby Southview School was placed in a hold and secure. Students were being let out of school in stages.
To help track the suspect, fire crews with infrared cameras were brought in. It was determined the man was not in the house and is now at large.
The suspect is described as being between 20 and 30 years old, wearing a green shirt, black shorts, and black leggings. Anyone seeing an individual matching this description is to call 9-11.
