Lost elderly woman shot at on rural road

Stettler, AB – Stettler RCMP are trying to piece together circumstances which saw a lost elderly woman shot at after becoming disorientated on a central Alberta road last week.

Mounties report the woman had become lost on Jan. 22 when driving on Hwy. 855 north of Hwy. 12 between 4 and 6:30 a.m. when the incident occurred.

She ended up at a residence unknown to her on Range Road 18-0 near Township Road 395.

The shot which struck the front windshield of the vehicle she was driving, missed the woman.

RCMP are looking to speak with anyone who may have seen the woman driving her grey 2005 Hyundai Santa Fe. Mounties add the vehicle may have entered residential properties while lost.
