Wind warning issued for southeast Alberta

Medicine Hat, AB – A wind warning has been issued by Environment Canada for Medicine Hat, Cypress County and parts of the counties of Newell and 40-mile as well as Special Areas 2.

Winds of 70 kph gusting to 100 kph are expected to continue throughout the day, weakening by Saturday evening.

Winds may cause damage to buildings, specifically to roof shingles and windows while blowing loose objects picked up by the winds could cause injuries or damage to properties.

Motorists are being advised to adjust driving to the conditions.
