Bank in Trochu held up at gunpoint on Thursday

Police in Three Hills are asking for public assistance in identifying the lone suspect who held up the ATB financial institution in Trochu.

It was Thursday, Jan. 30 at approximately 11:30 a.m. when Three Hills RCMP received a report of an armed robbery at the Trochu Alberta Treasury Branch (ATB).

According to police, a male in disguise entered the ATM area where he removed what is believed to be a firearm from a Red Husky duffle bag. The suspect then entered the branch and demanded money from an employee. The male suspect fled with an undisclosed amount of money, and no one was injured.

Three Hills RCMP advise that this person is considered armed and dangerous.
