EDMONTON, AB — The Alberta Legislature will reconvene next month.
MLAs will return to Edmonton on February 25 for the Speech from the Throne, the government confirmed Wednesday. The speech from the Throne will outline the government’s legislative agenda for the coming year.
“I’m thrilled to be getting back to the important work of fulfilling our unprecedented slate of promises to Albertans,” Government House Leader Jason Nixon wrote in a statement. “I sincerely look forward to seeing my colleagues back at the Legislature in order to move our ambitious legislative agenda forward.”
A news release says the government will continue to focus on “creating jobs, expanding the province’s economy and standing up for a fair deal for Albertans.”
