Holiday Train to stop in Medicine Hat on Wednesday

MEDICINE HAT, AB — The Canadian Pacific Holiday Train will roll into Medicine Hat on Wednesday.

The train, a fundraiser for food banks across Canada, is scheduled to make a stop in Medicine Hat at approximately 4:15 p.m. at Queen and North Railway Street, east of the CP Station.

A free concert, featuring country singer Meghan Patrick, Tanika Charles and Kelly Prescott, will begin at 4:30 p.m. and is scheduled to last until 5 p.m.

Residents are encouraged to bring food and cash donations for the food bank.

Medicine Hat is on the U.S. route of the train, and the performance is one of the final stops along the route.

The train will travel to Tilley for a scheduled arrival at 6:30 p.m., before stopping in Brooks at 7:40 p.m. and wrapping up the tour in Gleichen at 9:40 p.m.

The Holiday Train has been running since 1999, and has raised more than $15.8 million and collected 4.5 million pounds of food for food banks across Canada.
