MEDICINE HAT, AB – Medicine Hat Police are accepting applications from experienced police officers to join the team.

The police service is looking for a minimum of 2 new officers, possibly more. That will depend on the interest of experienced people looking to relocate to Medicine Hat.

Staff Sgt. Cory Both says members need relevant experience so they can be put in a police car and start working right away.

“We’re looking for experienced police service members. So members that are working for municipal police service outside the city that want to relocate to Medicine Hat,” he said.

Meantime, the detachment just completed the 2019 new recruit process. Both says eight candidates will start training in January and will be available for service in mid-2020.
