RCMP confirm one death in collision with cattle liner between Brocket and Pincher Creek

BROCKET, AB – Pikani RCMP and Pincher Creek RCMP were called to a serious collision between a car and a cattle liner on Highway 3 around 15 km east of Brocket at approximately 9:00 am on Tuesday, November 19th.

They say the car was heading eastbound when it collided head-on with the cattle liner.

β€œThe lone occupant of the car, a 75-year-old male from Pincher Creek, was pronounced deceased at the scene. The driver of the cattle liner was not injured,” reads a media release from Pikani RCMP.

The roads were icy and covered in snow at the time.

Pikani RCMP remains on scene and traffic is being re-routed through the Pikani Nation.

Larger commercial vehicles are not able to pass at this time as cattle are being removed. The re-route is expected to last several hours.

RCMP will not be releasing the name of the deceased.
