HAVRE, MT — Two citizens of Mexico were recently arrested by U.S. Border Patrol Agents in Havre after allegedly entering the United States illegally.

According to a release from Customs and Border Protection dated November 1, a man and woman were arrested in the Havre area for evading a port of entry and unlawfully entering the country on foot. The release says the pair allegedly entered the States on-or-around October 27.

They were processed for violating federal immigration laws and turned over to Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

“I am proud of the time and diligence our agents take on a daily basis to follow up on leads and develop good working relations in our communities” said Chief Patrol Agent Sean McGoffin in a statement. “Border Patrol agents maintain the utmost vigilance to ensure the continued safety of the American public from any potential threats.”
