Tigers top Blades to win fourth straight game

MEDICINE HAT, AB — The Medicine Hat Tigers ended their most recent home stand with their fourth straight victory Tuesday night.

The Tigers came away with a victory over the Saskatoon Blades, winning 3-1 at the Canalta Centre.

All three of the Tigers’ goals came in the second period, with Ryan Chyzowski, Daniel Baker and Dru Krebs all finding the back of the net. Krebs’ goal was also his first-ever WHL goal.

Zach Huber scored the Blades’ only goal in the third period.

Mads Søgaard made 24 saves for the Tigers. Nolan Maier stopped 48 of the 51 shots he faced from the Tigers.

The Tigers will head on an extended road trip for the next month due to the World U-17 Hockey Challenge taking place in Medicine Hat from November 2-9. The team begins the road trip Sunday against the Calgary Hitmen. The game begins at 2 p.m.
