Drumheller, AB – RCMP seized guns, drugs and cash after a complaint from a resident lead Mounties to a Thanksgiving haul of contraband in Drumheller.

After receiving the complaint of a suspicious vehicle on Friday, Drumheller RCMP located a 2004 Audi stationwagon matching the description provided.

Police found the vehicle plates did not match the vehicle and detained a female occupant of the car as she exited a nearby business. Mounties entered the business in search of a male occupant who attempted to flee on foot but was caught and was in possession of a stolen handgun and a large amount of cash.

A subsequent search of the vehicle found more handguns, methamphetamine and a substance suspected to be liquid GHB – also known as the date-rape drug.

McDonald-Sherba of Trochu, has been remanded in custody awaiting a bail hearing while Couturier of Drumheller was released on a recognizance.
